Ikea Commercial - There's No Bed Like Home

In this commercial, we first see a girl lying in a bed in the sky which gives a sense of lightness and almost as if she is lying on a cloud to portray the comfy and softness of the beds. The colour scheme is quite light/pale and the addition of the clouds, floating and the shot of the rose petals adds to the lightweight, soft and dreamy effect. The action of her falling out of the beds could represent how we 'fall' asleep, showing that the beds are so comfortable that we could easily fall asleep in them. The music played in the background is slow but dramatic as well to emphasize the woman falling to the ground, but suddenly stops and calms down as soon as she reaches her own bed at home. The soft and calming female voice over would make the audience watching the advert feel calm and maybe sleepy; they may also feel a lot lighter and by the audience given the impression the beds sold from Ikea are light, dreamy and comfortable this may encourage people to buy their products (in this case the beds). The font used at the end contrasts with the background but isn't the entire focus point of the shot so the font size is decreased.
